Riders were looking forward to this short 25-mile day from Pilot Grove to Sedalia, but it started raining early in the morning. The trail got quite muddy, but Thursday morning was cloudy and cool, so riders got some relief from the constant heat and sun earlier in the week.
An Amish family sold cookies to riders outside Clifton City.
Several riders were hanging out at the Clifton City SAG stop.
This leg of the Katy Trail ended at the depot in Sedalia.
Some interesting accessories were out on the trail today.
With so much extra time on Thursday, riders had several tour options throughout Sedalia. Some riders went up to the Bothwell Lodge and toured its 30 rooms.
At the end of the day, riders could go swimming, watch a baseball game, attend a concert or go to downtown Sedalia.
